The City Council has established a program by which property owners can
get assistance in getting deteriorated sidewalks replaced. It's popularly
called the '50/50' program because upon approval, the City will pay
for the cost of the concrete. The property owner will then be responsible
for the labor portion either by actually furnishing the labor or by
hiring and paying for a contractor to perform the labor. This works
out to roughly a 50/50 split of the costs.
